The Fretz® HMR-4 Large Embossing Hammer combines a precision-cast, hardened stainless steel head with an oil-finished Padauk hardwood handle. Engineered for sinking and repoussé techniques, it features two spherical, highly polished domed faces—15 mm and 12 mm—that stretch sheet metal supported over a leather sandbag or wooden cavity. Doming metal prior to raising increases structural rigidity, making forms easier to guide over stakes. When struck on the exterior against an anvil or metal stake, the HMR-4 leaves a classic dimpled, light-reflective hammered finish across flat or convex surfaces.
