The ZETA Natural Diamond Scanner is a commercial-grade gemological verification device engineered to accurately identify natural diamonds and differentiate them from CVD and HPHT lab-grown variants.
Housed in a compact desktop chassis featuring an integrated 6-inch Android touchscreen interface, the ZETA scanner provides jewelers, gemologists, and diamond dealers with an all-in-one laboratory testing solution. By utilizing advanced UV-induced fluorescence and phosphorescence imaging, the system analyzes internal crystal structures to deliver definitive material grading and automated stone counts in just 30 seconds.
Key Product Features
-
Dual-Method Optical Analysis: Combines high-resolution fluorescence (FLU) and phosphorescence (PHO) data modeling to evaluate stone profiles under multi-exposure camera parameters.
-
Color-Coded Automated Mapping: Displays test results instantly on the screen using color-coded bounding boxes—blue for natural, red for lab-grown, yellow for simulants, and green for referral stones.
-
Simulant Differentiation Capabilities: Identifies common diamond simulants including cubic zirconia (CZ), moissanite, and diamond-coated variants, performing with maximum effectiveness when tested in a loose state.
-
Android-Powered HAD App Ecosystem: Runs on a dedicated Android software interface that integrates localized light control, image analysis, on-board data storage, history data searching, and direct PDF report email sharing.
-
Multi-Language Operational Support: Supports 12 global software languages out of the box, including English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Polish.
Crucial Studio Operation & Testing Guidelines
-
Color Grade Limitation: The ZETA optical sensor is calibrated exclusively for colorless to near-colorless white diamonds within the D–K color range. Lower color grades and fancy color diamonds fall completely outside its scope and may yield inconclusive results.
-
Loose Stone Table Alignment: When scanning loose diamonds, the stones must strictly be placed with the flat table facet facing downward on the velvet tray. Placing stones face-up or clustering them together will deteriorate the analysis capabilities of the device.
-
Minimum Stone Footprint: Accuracy drop-offs can occur with stones smaller than 1.5mm in diameter (≈ 0.01 ct). It is recommended to test diamonds measuring 1.5mm or larger.
-
Power & Handling Precautions: Always operate the scanner using its original factory-configured power adapter. To protect the internal calibration hardware, never leave the testing tray inside the instrument after operation and never tilt the unit sideways.
