Polishing highly intricate jewelry, filigree, and tight prong settings often results in polishing compounds becoming stubbornly packed into crevices. Manufactured in the USA, 3M® Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Discs solve this problem by impregnating highly advanced Cubitron™ and Aluminum Oxide abrasive grains directly into the flexible plastic bristles. These discs conform perfectly to the micro-topography of your workpiece, cleaning, pre-polishing, and mirror-finishing detailed areas safely and without leaving any greasy residue behind.

The 3M® Color-Coded Grit System

Available in 48-piece packs. Select the precise grit required for your finishing stage:

Cleaning & Heavy Prep:

• Yellow (80 Grit): Aggressive cutting. Ideal for heavy fire-scale removal, cleaning raw castings, and removing thick oxidation.

• White (120 Grit): Medium cutting. Excellent for blending light file marks and moderate surface cleanup.

• Red (220 Grit): Soft cutting. Prepares the metal for the pre-polish stage by leaving a uniform, matte finish.

Pre-Polishing & Satin Finishes:

• Blue (400 Grit): The industry standard for applying a perfectly uniform, directional satin finish to watch cases and jewelry bands.

• Pink (1200 Grit): Fine pre-polishing. Eliminates the haze left by lower grits and begins to introduce a reflective surface.

High-Gloss Finishing:

• Peach (3000 Grit): Very fine polishing. Brings precious metals to a bright, pre-showroom luster.

• Light Green (14000 Micron/Grit): Ultra-fine mirror finish. The absolute final step, delivering a brilliant, compound-free liquid shine.
