Alfa Mirage® POLISHING COMPOUND KOYO Green Rouge K-1

The Japanese standard for hard steel preliminary polishing and tool restoration. When restoring hardened steel bench tools, knife blades, or heavily oxidized hardware, jumping straight to a high-gloss rouge is ineffective. The surface must first be prepped and leveled. Manufactured in Tokyo, Japan, the KOYO Green Rouge K-1 is a specialized buffing compound designed specifically for the preliminary gloss polishing of steel surfaces after #600-grit finishing or heavy rust removal.

Bench Setup: Wheel Selection

Because hard steel requires aggressive friction to polish, do not use ultra-soft flannel wheels with this compound. For the most effective cutting action, apply KOYO Green Rouge exclusively to hard felt pads, stiff felt bobs, or tightly spiral-sewn cotton buffing wheels.
