The ultra-soft, untreated feather-fabric buff engineered exclusively for the final mirror polish. After aggressive scratches have been leveled and pre-polished by chemically treated wheels (like the Yellow or Blue ORO buffs), the metal must be "colored" to its final high-gloss luster. The ORO® White Muslin Buff is designed strictly for this final stage. Manufactured from 50 plies of untreated, ultra-high density feather fabric, this tight yet exceptionally soft wheel gently burnishes the metal without introducing new micro-scratches, delivering an unparalleled, distortion-free mirror finish.
Advantages
-
Ultra-High Density "Feather" Fabric: Unlike standard coarse cotton, this specialized tight-weave soft fabric acts as a delicate carrier for ultra-fine polishing rouges, ensuring a completely scratch-free final finish on all precious metals.
-
Maximum Compound Utilization: The dense, soft fabric fibers are specifically engineered to grab and hold fine wax compounds efficiently. This high utilization rate leads to a significantly higher "glazing speed"—meaning the metal reaches its final liquid shine much faster.
-
Water-Resistant Structure: The fabric is naturally water-resistant, making it an excellent companion for modern hydrolyzable (water-soluble) polishing compounds without the wheel becoming soggy or losing its centrifugal shape.
-
Universal Final Finish: Highly versatile at the end of the polishing progression. It is the required final step for pulling a high-shine mirror effect out of Gold, Silver, Brass, and Platinum.
