Stuccler Mallet Rawhide

Raw cowhide hammers are usually made by curling water cowhide and are commonly used by jewelry and accessory makers. Almost every one has at least one such hammer. Using it, like a regular nylon hammer, it can be used for shaping, hardening, and leveling metal without stretching or leaving marks on the metal surface. The difference between it and a nylon hammer is that it will become better and better over time, while a nylon hammer will gradually age and become unusable.
